We all know why we love PSU, but its always good to hear nice things from others. In 2010, PSU was singled out for praise by the Princeton Review, U.S. News and World Report and by G.I. Jobs.

The Princeton Review listed PittState on its list of the best universitiesin the Midwest. The Review quotedstudents who liked PSU’s smaller size “with a bigger university atmosphere,” its affordability and professors who are knowledgeable and are “always more than willing to help” outside of class.

U.S. News and World Report also took note of Pittsburg State,including it in its annual report on”Best Colleges 2011.” In the 12-stateMidwest area, which includes thestates of Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Indiana and Ohio, PSU was ranked 22nd among regional public universities.

G.I. Jobs magazine, meanwhile, included PSU on its list of Military Friendly Schools for 2011. According to the magazine, “the list honors the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that are doing the most to embrace America’s veterans as students.” Criteria for making the military friendly schools list included the university’s efforts to recruit and retain military and veteran students, results in recruiting military and veteran students and academic accreditations.
