Two Gorillas were inducted into halls of fame, ensuring they will be remembered for years to come.
All-America football player and track & field star Brian Moorman was selected for induction into the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame. He became the first four-time All-American football player in school history (1995-98), and was named to PSU’s prestigious 100th Anniversary Football Team in 2003. In track & field he earned All-America honors on 10 occasions, including three straight national championships in the 400-meter hurdles (1997-99).
Moorman played 14 seasons in the NFL, including stints with the Seahawks, Bills and Dallas Cowboys, he earned two Pro Bowl selections as a punter.
Women’s basketball alumna Leslie (Dudley) Morrow was inducted into the MIAA Hall of Fame. Morrow played for the Gorillas from 1997-2000. During that time, she set school records for scoring and free throws and also compiled more than 500 career rebounds and 500 career assists. She was the 1997 MIAA Freshman of the Year and the 2000 Ken B. Jones Award winner.
