A partnership between Pittsburg schools and PSU has proven again to be a triple win. More than 40 students and faculty from the College of Education, as well as the Department of Art, the College of Technology, and the Department of Family & Consumer Sciences, staged family nights with hands-on activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.

They benefitted the PSU students who researched and developed the activities, the elementary students, and parents.

“This is preparing us for the classroom and how to get it to the kids’ level,” said Jordan Lawyer, an elementary education major. “We’re enjoying the chance to interact with kids in a school setting and see what works and what doesn’t.”
